2017 Christmas Packets for Prisoners

Due to Lexington Baptist Association on Thursday, November 30th, 2017

Every year since 1976, South Carolina Baptist have been in cooperation with the Department of Correction and Department to Juvenile Justice for every adult and juvenile prisoner in S.C. to receive a gift packet. Our association has committed to furnish 1100 prisoner packets for the worthwhile mission endeavor this year.

How to help:

**Please note the following guidelines throughout this page. Do not add items to those listed.**

Volunteer. All are welcomed to come to St. Andrews Baptist Church to help process these packets. Get more Volunteer information and sign up through Kristin Fish at Kristin@mylba.org or 803-356-2543.

Volunteers are also invited to help give out the prison packets at Broad River Correction Institution. Sign up through Kristin Fish at Kristin@mylba.org or 803-356-2543. 

The packets should include:

  • One non-retractable pen (no wire clip)

  • One 6 oz. or larger toothpaste; one adult toothbrush (factory sealed)

  • One 4-6 oz. bar of soap

  • One 50 page 5 1/2" x 8" or larger writing tablet (no wire bound)

  • Five stamp-embossed #10 envelopes (purchased at US Post Office)

  • Two Rolls of mints (Lifesaver type)

  • One 1 gallon-size Ziploc bag (preferably with zipper seal) for above items
